How Do You Recruit and Retain the BEST People?
How do you recruit and retain the best people?
I don’t know.
But I know an incredible company who does…
Enter 1st Phorm, a nutritional and fitness brand located outside of St. Louis, Missouri.
I’ve been around many great businesses over the past five years, but I’d rank 1st Phorm near the top of my “INCREDIBLE CULTURE” list.
What if you could learn about how they've done it? YOU CAN! Welcome to 2024's first Dirt World Workshop!
I found 1P when I started following Andy Frisella in 2014. He shared his cool cars on Instagram, and I like cool cars.
But then he began a business podcast, called the MFCEO Project. I became an avid listener from the first episode, which eventually helped me start BuildWitt.
Through listening to his podcasts, I learned more about his business, which was rapidly growing in the supplement and fitness space. Everything he taught came from his two decades in entrepreneurship.
I then became a 1st Phorm customer and joined Andy’s entrepreneurship group, Arete. When the opportunity to attend a live event at 1P’s Headquarters arose in 2021, I was on it like a bear to honey.
I spent A LOT of money to attend, but touring 1st Phorm’s HQ was worth the investment. The facility is beautiful, the gym is EXTRAORDINARY, and the warehouse is next-level.
But the most inspiring part? The CULTURE. As you walk through the doors, you can put your arms around it. They’ve built something different, which is why they don’t struggle to attract and retain the best people.
When brainstorming ideas for events in 2024, we didn’t want to host ANOTHER industry meeting in ANOTHER hotel ballroom. There are already enough of those.
How could we make an extremely practical event on culture and recruiting in a location that’s inspiring itself? What if we asked 1st Phorm if we could host our event at their HQ?
So we did. And they said yes.
Join us and over one hundred other industry leaders from February 27-29 at 1st Phorm’s Headquarters outside of St. Louis to learn about what top businesses are doing when it comes to building their brand, recruiting new people, and elevating their existing workforce.
We expect it to be the most practical recruiting event in the Dirt World. What better time to learn how you can recruit and retain better than when everything’s frozen anyway!
I’ll see you next month!

Welcome to one of the world's most productive logging regions—the Pacific Northwest.
Here, logging companies manage hundreds of thousands of acres to grow the timber we need. Whether it's lumber for our homes or toilet paper for our... you know... we all use timber products daily whether we realize it or not.
And don't forget—trees are a RENEWABLE resource. Thanks to excellent management practices and regulations, these lands are replanted and re-harvested repeatedly.
This is where Kirkpatrick Cutting comes into play. Kirkpatrick can harvest timber on extremely steep terrain using a Tigercat feller buncher attached to another machine via a steel cable and winch. There's nothing quite like an early morning in the woods!
I'll see you next month! Don’t miss out!!
